We would like to say a huge thank to everyone who has been a part of Drone Racing Oxford’s journey so far, this is just the start!
Committee
After a year and a half~ of the club continuing to grow and build momentum, Drone Racing Oxford has taken the next step holding it’s first Annual General Meeting to ensure we continue going from strength to strength.
The AGM saw a committee of 5 elected by nomination and voting:
- James (JRo) Chairman.
- Clive (CliveFPV) Secretary.
- James (JamesTX) Treasury.
- Soley (Derpy Hooves) Safety.
- Leigh (MrE) Equipement.
The committee will hold regular meetings going forward, the first of which will be to work on a formal constitution, look towards next season planning some larger events for the community and address any other business.
Anyone is encouraged to share ideas and bring areas of focus to the committee so we can attend to them.
This is by no means the extent of the clubs workings, we have many others that contribute to the club. Anton, Ian, Gary, Anthony and everyone else we’d like to offer our continued gratiude to. Although we have a committee, anyone is always encouraged to muck in and assist in any way possible.
We also have plans for whooping in the near future, watch this space.
MultiGP Tier 1 Promotion
We’re very proud to have been promoted to Tier 1 in November, only the second club in the UK to hold such a prestigious position and an addtion to only 3 in Europe!
With our promotion we’ll continue to hold races, GQ’s and other exciting things that are in the pipeline, as soon as MultiGP announces it, we’ll share our plans. For now, we’ll continue to lay on races as we always have.
Currently we’ve 22 races in the books with another 5 for the 2025/2026 winter season on the calendar that you can find below.
Dates & Events
While we continue through the winter season, we have the following races still under flood lights before we get around to the better weather, we may have further additions to the short term calendar with some exciting news on the horizon!
All of our events will be on the various platforms, IFPV & Discord are our primary locations to post races and events.
